Eremos Acres exists because we all need a “place to pause” or abide — to dwell, to linger, to rest in God’s presence. If we are honest, it's hard to "pause" in our own ordinary places because they are full of distractions, endless to-do-lists and life-size demands. In the world and many times our very own homes, constant motion feels necessary and even needed to produce and progress...
But God tells us that fruitfulness only comes from connection with HIM. Jesus didn’t say, “Work harder and you’ll bear fruit.” He opposed this and said, “Abide in Me.” Abiding isn’t inactivity — it’s intentional dependency. Look it up in John 15. At Eremos, we create space for intentional dependency.

Our "non-refundable policy" and how it fits our mission
To withdrawal from the world and nurture your relationship with God is an active discipline of faith. We intend to not only provide a place but also the accountability to stick to the time you have carved out to "eremos." There will be obstacles to your planned eremos (such as: schedules changes, fun opportunities, or commitments that will pop up between now and your booked date and you should expect them!) BUT our goal for the "non-refundable" policy is to encourage you to stick to the commitment and not let life get in the space you have set aside for your soul! We hope that this "non-refundable" commitment to Eremos will give you the extra nudge to say "no" to the other things and reserve the time to abide and be with God in intentional dependancy.
